Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 19, 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how DigitalDream Apps LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use any of our applications, software, websites, and related services (collectively, the “Apps”). This Policy applies to all Apps we publish under our developer account, including macOS desktop and menu bar utilities such as widget collections (e.g., clipboard, photos, videos, launcher, bookmarks, default browser switcher, daily quote, countdowns, focus timer, documents, and system switches).
Summary
- We design our Apps to process most data on-device. Many features work without sending data to our servers.
- We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your content for advertising.
- Some features require system permissions (e.g., Files & Folders, Photos, Clipboard access) solely to provide the requested functionality.
- Limited diagnostic data may be collected to keep the Apps reliable and secure. Where applicable, you can opt out of analytics.
- You can contact us anytime at [email protected].
Information We Process
On-Device Content You Choose to Use in the Apps
- Clipboard: The clipboard widget reads clipboard entries locally to display your history and facilitate pasting. Clipboard data is processed on-device and is not transmitted to our servers.
- Photos & Videos: If you choose to display media, the App reads only the items you select or the folders you grant access to.
- Documents: If you link folders or files for quick access or preview, the App reads only the content necessary to show file names, metadata, or previews.
- Bookmarks & App Launcher: We store the links and configuration you provide in local app storage or files under your user profile.
- Default Browser Switcher: The App writes system-default browser settings with your consent and does not read your browsing history.
- Daily Quote / Online Content: If enabled, the App may fetch quotes or metadata from online sources. Requests typically include only standard network headers and do not identify you personally.
- Countdowns & Focus Timer: Timers, schedules, and labels are stored locally.
- System Switches: Toggles (e.g., Wi‑Fi, brightness, etc.) act on your device settings and do not transmit content to us.
Device & Diagnostics
To maintain stability and security, the Apps or the operating system may collect device information (e.g., model, OS version), event logs, crash data, and performance metrics. Where supported, this may be provided by Apple or trusted analytics/crash reporting providers. We use this data only to fix bugs, improve performance, and prevent abuse.
Account & Purchases
If an App offers in‑app purchases or subscriptions via the App Store, Apple processes payment information. We receive non-sensitive purchase metadata (e.g., product identifier, subscription status) to unlock features and provide support. We do not receive your full payment details.
How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, personalize, and secure the Apps and features you request.
- Process permissions and settings you enable (e.g., files access, photos, clipboard).
- Diagnose problems, debug, and improve performance and usability.
- Communicate with you about updates, support, and safety notices.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
Data Storage & Retention
App data you create (e.g., widget configurations, timers, bookmarks) is typically stored on your device and, if you choose, backed up by your system or cloud provider (e.g., iCloud, Time Machine). Diagnostic data, where collected, is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes described above.
Sharing
- Vendors & Service Providers: We may share limited data with service providers (e.g., analytics, crash reporting) under contracts that require them to use the data only on our behalf.
- Legal & Safety: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- No Sale of Personal Data: We do not sell personal data.
International Transfers
If we transfer information across borders, we use appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable laws.
Your Choices
- Permissions: You can grant or revoke system permissions (Files, Photos, etc.) in macOS System Settings > Privacy & Security.
- Analytics/Crash Reporting: Where an opt-out is offered, it will be available in the App’s settings.
- Access, Deletion, and Correction: You may request access to, deletion of, or correction of your personal information by emailing [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity.
Children’s Privacy
Our Apps are not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided personal information, please contact us to delete it.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data we process. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Third‑Party Services
Our Apps may interact with third‑party services (e.g., Apple frameworks, system APIs, or content endpoints). Your use of those services is governed by their respective policies and terms. We are not responsible for third‑party practices.
Trademarks & Icons
Third‑party names, icons, and trademarks that may appear in the Apps are used solely for identification or demonstration and do not imply endorsement or affiliation.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, when appropriate, provide additional notice within the Apps or on our website.
