Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how DigitalDream Apps LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use any of our applications, software, websites, and related services (collectively, the “Apps”). This Policy applies to all Apps we publish under our developer account, including macOS desktop and menu bar utilities such as widget collections (e.g., clipboard, photos, videos, launcher, bookmarks, default browser switcher, daily quote, countdowns, focus timer, documents, and system switches).
Summary
- We design our Apps to process most data on-device. Many features work without sending data to our servers.
- We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your content for advertising.
- Some features require system permissions (e.g., Files & Folders, Photos, Clipboard access) solely to provide the requested functionality.
- Limited diagnostic data may be collected to keep the Apps reliable and secure. Where applicable, you can opt out of analytics.
- If you use AI features, the content you submit (such as text prompts and optional images) is sent through the OpenRouter API and may be routed to third-party AI model providers, including Google Gemini, only to fulfill your request.
- You can contact us anytime at [email protected].
Information We Process
On-Device Content You Choose to Use in the Apps
- Clipboard: The clipboard widget reads clipboard entries locally to display your history and facilitate pasting. Clipboard data is processed on-device and is not transmitted to our servers.
- Photos & Videos: If you choose to display media, the App reads only the items you select or the folders you grant access to.
- Documents: If you link folders or files for quick access or preview, the App reads only the content necessary to show file names, metadata, or previews.
- Bookmarks & App Launcher: We store the links and configuration you provide in local app storage or files under your user profile.
- Default Browser Switcher: The App writes system-default browser settings with your consent and does not read your browsing history.
- Daily Quote / Online Content: If enabled, the App may fetch quotes or metadata from online sources. Requests typically include only standard network headers and do not identify you personally.
- Countdowns & Focus Timer: Timers, schedules, and labels are stored locally.
- System Switches: Toggles (e.g., Wi‑Fi, brightness, etc.) act on your device settings and do not transmit content to us.
- Screen Capture & Contextual Data:
- Screenshot Feature: If you use the manual "Screenshot" tool, the App captures a static image of the selected screen area. This is not a continuous screen recording; it is a one-time capture triggered exclusively by the user.
- Calendar & Reminders Descriptions: When you describe or refer to your Calendar events or Reminders in the chat, the App processes these text descriptions to provide contextual AI assistance.
AI Features (OpenRouter and Google Gemini)
Some Apps provide AI chat, rewriting, or summarization features through our integration with the OpenRouter API, which may route requests to AI models provided by Google Gemini. When you choose to use these features, we process only the data needed to complete your request.
- What may be sent off-device: User-initiated content, including: (1) Text prompts and descriptions of your Calendar/Reminders; (2) Static screenshots manually captured by you using the App's screen capture tool. These items are sent to OpenRouter to fulfill your specific request.
- How data is transmitted: AI requests are transmitted via the OpenRouter API, which may route the request to Google Gemini or another model provider selected for the feature.
- Purpose: To generate and return AI responses, and where necessary to maintain service reliability, prevent abuse, and debug failures.
- No sale / no ad profiling by us: We do not sell AI input/output data and do not use your AI content to build advertising profiles.
- Third-party processing: Requests are transmitted to OpenRouter, which may route them to Google Gemini. OpenRouter and Google are responsible for processing data under their respective terms and privacy policies. By using AI features, you instruct us to send your submitted content to these providers to fulfill the request.
- OpenRouter and its model providers process this data for real-time inference. We do not store your screenshots or chat content on our own servers beyond the active session, and we do not use this data for training third-party models or any purposes other than responding to your current query.
- User consent: Before any AI request is sent, the App informs you that your input will be transmitted to a third-party AI provider and requires your confirmation before transmission.
- Sensitive data warning: Please avoid submitting highly sensitive personal information unless strictly necessary for your intended use.
Device & Diagnostics
To maintain stability and security, the Apps or the operating system may collect device information (e.g., model, OS version), event logs, crash data, and performance metrics. Where supported, this may be provided by Apple or trusted analytics/crash reporting providers. We use this data only to fix bugs, improve performance, and prevent abuse.
Account & Purchases
If an App offers in‑app purchases or subscriptions via the App Store, Apple processes payment information. We receive non-sensitive purchase metadata (e.g., product identifier, subscription status) to unlock features and provide support. We do not receive your full payment details.
How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, personalize, and secure the Apps and features you request.
- Process permissions and settings you enable (e.g., files access, photos, clipboard).
- Diagnose problems, debug, and improve performance and usability.
- Communicate with you about updates, support, and safety notices.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
Data Storage & Retention
App data you create (e.g., widget configurations, timers, bookmarks) is typically stored on your device and, if you choose, backed up by your system or cloud provider (e.g., iCloud, Time Machine). Diagnostic data, where collected, is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes described above.
For AI features, we do not store full prompts/responses on our own servers longer than needed to return the result, except where temporary retention is required for security, fraud prevention, or debugging. If temporary logs are kept, we limit retention to a short period and delete or de-identify data when no longer required. Data processed by OpenRouter, Google Gemini, or other third-party AI providers is retained under their applicable policies.
Sharing
- Vendors & Service Providers: We may share limited data with service providers (e.g., analytics, crash reporting) under contracts that require them to use the data only on our behalf.
- AI Service Providers (OpenRouter and Google Gemini): If you use AI features, the content you submit for inference is shared with OpenRouter and may be routed onward to Google Gemini or another model provider to generate responses. We require service providers to protect user data with safeguards that are equal to or stronger than those described in this Policy and applicable platform rules.
- Legal & Safety: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- No Sale of Personal Data: We do not sell personal data.
International Transfers
If we transfer information across borders, we use appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable laws.
Your Choices
- Permissions: You can grant or revoke system permissions (Files, Photos, etc.) in macOS System Settings > Privacy & Security.
- AI Features Consent: Before any AI request is sent, the App asks you to confirm that your input may be transmitted to a third-party AI provider. You can decline, stop using AI features at any time, or disable them where the App provides an AI toggle.
- Analytics/Crash Reporting: Where an opt-out is offered, it will be available in the App's settings.
- Access, Deletion, and Correction: You may request access to, deletion of, or correction of your personal information by emailing [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity.
- Delete AI Data Requests: If you believe AI-related personal data was retained by us, contact us at [email protected] with sufficient details so we can locate and delete it where legally permitted.
Children's Privacy
Our Apps are not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided personal information, please contact us to delete it.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data we process. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Third‑Party Services
Our Apps may interact with third‑party services (e.g., Apple frameworks, system APIs, or content endpoints). Your use of those services is governed by their respective policies and terms. We are not responsible for third-party practices.
For AI-powered features, relevant third-party terms may include OpenRouter terms and privacy disclosures, as well as Google Gemini and Google Privacy terms published by Google.
Trademarks & Icons
Third‑party names, icons, and trademarks that may appear in the Apps are used solely for identification or demonstration and do not imply endorsement or affiliation.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, when appropriate, provide additional notice within the Apps or on our website.
